A: In Klawock, at the intersection of Boundary Road and the Klawock-Hollis Highway, turn north on Boundary Road toward Thorne Bay. Drive three miles and turn left on the gravel road just past the three mile marker. Drive 2.2 miles to Changing Tides Inn where you will see the reflective sign. Turn right, and right again where the drive forks.
Q: Is Internet available? A: Yes. It is somewhat weather dependent and can be slow.
Q: Is smoking permitted? A: No we are smoke-free facility.
Q: What do we need to bring?
A: You will need to bring your own food, personal items including toiletries, rain gear, recreational equipment, personal computer if you plan to use one, and camera (lots of beautiful views)
Q: Where can we purchase food?
A: The Alaska Commercial grocery store stocks a wide variety of foods and paper products. When arriving by the InterIsland Ferry, you will want to stop at the Alaska Commercial grocery store to purhase your groceries prior to coming out to Changing Tides Inn as the store closes at 8 PM. Black Bear Store is a convenience store that opens early and stays open late. Black Bear carries some food, sporting goods, and snacks, hunting and fishing licenses, and fuel
Q: Do you have a freezer available?
A: Yes. The freezer holds three 50 lb. fish boxes
Q: Where do we park?
A: Guest parking is available in front of the wood shed
Q: Do you provide charters?
A: No. However, we can connect you with excellent saltwater and freshwater charter guides.
Q: Are there restaurants?
A: Yes. There is casual dining available in both Klawock and Craig.
Q: How can we find out about the Fishing and Hunting regulations?
A: For all hunting and fishing inquiries you should contact the Alaska Department of Fish and Game in Craig at (907) 826-2948. Hunting and fishing licenses may be purchased on-line the Alaska Department of Fish and Game website. The US Forest Service Craig Ranger District is located in Craig. You may contact the Forest Service at 907-826-3271 to purchase maps and request information.
